The mathematics without the sales pitch

Crash game RTP, explained plainly.

Rocketshot has a 99% theoretical return to player and a 1% mathematical house edge. Those figures describe many equivalent bets—not what one person should expect tonight.

Definition

What does 99% RTP mean?

Return to player is a theoretical long-run ratio. A 99% RTP corresponds to an average house edge of 1% across a very large number of equivalent wagers under the published rules.

It does not mean a player receives 99% of every stake back, loses only 1% in a session or is likely to finish close to the average. Crash outcomes are volatile, and a short run can land far above or below the long-run figure.

Cash-out targets

A different target changes the shape of risk, not the edge

A low cash-out target wins more often but returns less when it succeeds. A high target wins less often but returns more on a hit. Under the same 99% RTP formula, neither choice removes the 1% mathematical edge.

Lower target

More frequent small wins, still exposed to immediate shot-down rounds and losing streaks.

Higher target

Less frequent larger wins, with longer losing runs and greater short-session variance.

Independence

Previous multipliers do not predict the next round

A run of low or high results does not make the opposite result “due”. Martingale-style staking, chasing losses and increasing the target after a loss change the amount at risk; they do not change the underlying formula.

Rocketshot publishes round commitments and revealed seeds so completed results can be checked. That transparency can detect a mismatch, but it cannot forecast an unrevealed outcome.

Rocketshot formula

How the 1% edge is expressed

Rocketshot derives a uniform value X from the round seed and public epoch salt, then calculates:

max(1.00, floor(99 / (1 − X)) / 100)

The 99 in the numerator expresses the 99% theoretical RTP, while rounding sets the displayed result to two decimal places. The same inputs can be recomputed independently in the public verifier.

Risk

Use RTP to understand the game—not justify a bet

  • Set a fixed entertainment budget before playing.
  • Assume the full stake can be lost.
  • Do not borrow, chase losses or treat play as an investment.
  • Stop when play is no longer enjoyable or controlled.

Rocketshot is for adults aged 18+ in eligible regions. Verifiability and bankroll controls do not remove gambling risk.
